per un re-fit in puro stile BASKET Performance. E ha chiamato FIDIA FALASCHETTI (http://www.fidiafalaschetti.com/) per stravolgergli una parete del negozio. Del suo arrivo, poi, se n’è accorto qualcun altro a Milano…come si vede dalle immagini relative all’esplosione a macchia d’olio della “basket-mania”. Sabato 12 marzo a Venezia, presso il Laboratorio Occupato Morion si è tenuto un evento unico e a mio avviso speciale ossia un Laboratorio di musica elettronica organizzato da electronicgirls in collaborazione con S.a.L.E. Docks e Still Novo Strumenti Musicali Usati.

Questo workshop, dedicato a tutte le ragazze interessate a un primo approccio alla produzione di musica elettronica, con un linguaggio semplice e adatto anche ad assolute principianti, ci ha svelato il mistero del sintetizzatore e l’evoluzione della macchina e del suono attraverso una fase teorica volta a valorizzare la musica elettronica al femminile e a far conoscere la storia delle pioniere dell’elettronica, troppe volte trascurata e poco diffusa e una fase più prettamente pratica che ci ha permesso di familiarizzare un po’ con gli strumenti dell’elettronica.

La prima parte del workshop è stata introdotta da Marta Marotta, musicoterapista, dal 2008 facente parte del duo d’improvvisazione femminile Neutica e artefice di Chironomia, il suo solo-project, che ci ha deliziate con la storia e i suoni del THEREMIN; la seconda parte invece è stata tutta dedicata alla storia, all’evoluzione e alla pratica del sintetizzatore attraverso le relazione di Enrico Lucchese, musicista ed educatore musicale presso uno spazio creativo condiviso (Spazio Sputnik), realizzatore di colonne sonore per audiolibri, spettacoli di danza e organizzatore di laboratori musicali, membro insieme al fratello Nicola del duo elettrico En rico en i cola e di Nicola Lucchese, la parte elettronica della band Captain Mantel e insegnante di musica elettronica presso i corsi dell’associazione Diapason & Naima.

La seconda parte del workshop si è tenuta presso lo spazio espositivo e di aggregazione autogestito da un collettivo di studenti, lavoratori cognitivi, precari dello spettacolo e attivisti culturali ossia S.a.L.E. Docks, dove alcuni esperti del settore sono intervenuti in materia:

✚ “Pauline Oliveros, Something Else”, Paolo Calzavara, musicista e formatore musicale a Venezia.

✚ TBA, Veniero Rizzardi , del Conservatorio di Musica Agostino Steffani, Castelfranco Veneto.

✚ TBA, Sylviane Sapir, del Conservatorio di Musica “Giuseppe Verdi”, Como.

✚ “Worksop”, Paolo Zavagna, del Conservatorio di Musica “Benedetto Marcello”, Venezia.

In serata si son susseguiti i Live Set sul palco di alcune musiciste non provenienti dal mondo accademico propriamente detto ossia:

✚ Neutica (duo piano/synth e theremin)

✚ Belinda Frank & Johann Merrich (duo voce/synth)

✚ Patrizia Oliva (cantante sperimentale)

✚ Rage Against the Sewing Machine (duo macchina da cucire/microfoni a contatto ed effetti)

KR3W celebrated the launch of ONE at Slam City Skates in style at The Victorian Vaults in London on February 26. The after-party hosted a skate celebrity guest list including Chad Muska, Stevie Williams and Ali Boulala, as well as many esteemed local Londoners. Guests were treated to a hosted bar and live entertainment from artists DJ Robbie Furze, Bitches of Eastwick, Turbogeist and PWBC. Here’s some pictures of the event:

Siamo orgogliosi di comunicarvi che Emily The Strange è approdata sia in radio sia in TV ed è sempre più rock! E’ già on air dallo scorso 28 dicembre su Virgin Radio Television, il canale in chiaro sul digitale terrestre che propone grande musica rock, alle ore 15 e alle ore 21. Giulia Salvi, dj a Virgin Generation, modella e super fan di Emily The Strange, veste infatti durante le puntate, tantissimi capi della collezione Fall e Holiday 2010. Collezioni all’insegna del Punk & Chic per persone che vogliono dire la loro, raccontando sé stesse attraverso il modo di vestire e di abbinare i capi. Strada, the Volta everyday cross-trainer, is finally available. Arkaik Clothing presents: The Sanitation of Humanity Tour April 1-April 28, 2011 featuring Molotov Solution, Burning The Masses, Destruction Of A Rose, Murder Death Kill and, King Conquer

Arkaik Clothing presents The Sanitation of Humanity Tour featuring headliner Molotov Solution with support from Burning The Masses, Destruction Of A Rose, Murder Death Kill and King Conquer. The nearly month-long tour kicks off on April 1 and winds down April 28, with stop along the way at the New England Metal & Hardcore Fest, Headliner Molotov Solution will enter the Machine Shop studios from April 29th to May 29th to record their Blkheart Group debut. Their last album ‘The Harbinger’ was released in 2009 on Metal Blade. This is the band’s first headline tour of 2011 since their involvement on the Suicide Silence headline tour in October of 2010. Molotov Solution will also make an appearance at the California Metal Fest 5 on March 19 at the Grove in Anaheim, CA with As I Lay Dying, Suicide Silence and more. San Diego’s Burning The Masses latest album Offspring of Time was released in November on Mediaskare Records. The band has been on numerous tours with such bands as Suffocation, As Blood Runs Black, Oceano, Annotations Of An Autopsy, & many others. Las Vegas, NV’s Destruction Of A Rose whose album ‘American Hell’ came out on Blkheart Group in August of 2010, has been touring non stop in support of their record which was recorded at Lambesis Studios in San Marcos Ca. The band recently completed 12+ weeks of being on the road since October of 2010 with bands such as Arsonists Get All The Girls, Ion Dissonance, Memphis May Fire, Texas In July and This Or The Apocalypse.The band will also perform at California Metal Fest 5 on March 19, and is featured in the latest issue of Alternative Press. Victorville, CA’s Murder Death Kill has just finished recording their second full length record at Undercity Studios in Hollywood, CA. The band has previously toured with Suffokate, The Red Shore, American Me, Hundredth, & many others. Their new album will be released through Mediaskare Records in late Spring 2011. Naples, FL’s King Conquer released one of the heaviest albums of the last year, ‘America’s Most Haunted’ in November on Mediaskare Records. The band has toured with Suffokate, The Red Shore, As Blood Runs Black, Thick As Blood, In The Midst Of Lions, & many others.
Molotov Solution guitarist Robbie Pina says, “We are extremely pumped to be heading out on the road again, however, this time we get to experience it with bands that we have been friends with for some time now!
