CHUCK RAGAN RELEASES FIRST INSTALLMENT OF THE CAMARADERIE ART CAMPAIGN FEATURING CALEB MORRIS

LOS ANGELES, CA (July, 2014) – Earlier this year, Chuck Ragan and his band, The Camaraderie, launched the Camaraderie Art Campaign.

Artists were asked to seek inspiration from Ragan’s new album, ‘Till Midnight’, and create an original piece of work by translating a track’s narrative into visual art. After an outpour of incredible submissions, Chuck and the Camaraderie have released the first original work, a piece inspired by the song ‘Vagabond’ by Atlanta, GA artist Caleb Morris. His original design will be featured on a limited run of 100 18×24 posters on card stock, signed by the artist, available now at www.chuckraganmusic.com. “Caleb‘s unique and clean illustration work immediately jumped out to us,” says Camaraderie bassist Joe Ginsberg. “He has a way of creating strong characters whose personality transcend the page. For this reason, I was really excited when he chose ‘Vagabond’ as his inspiration, and even more thrilled at the end result. Caleb has truly captured the character that all of us in the Camaraderie often play…a Vagabond!”

Originally from the gulf coast of Mississippi, Caleb Morris currently lives in Atlanta, GA. He used to wash dishes, move furniture and build Mardi Gras floats. Now he gets to paint pictures and air drum all day. Learn more about Caleb at www.calebmorris.net.

“I’d been trying to weasel my way into the Chuck Ragan camp for a while and when this came up, I thought it was the perfect project for me,” Morris explains. “I picked ‘Vagabond’ to illustrate because I’d spent a couple years traveling in a band and now traveling with illustration so I had some idea of what it’s like going from town to town and never staying in one place too long. Joe Ginsberg and the rest of the team were some of the most fun and excited people I’ve had a chance to work with and I tried to capture that spirit in the work.”
This past spring, Chuck Ragan released his fourth studio album ‘Till Midnight’. Produced, engineered and mixed by multi-instrumentalist Christopher Thorn (Blind Melon, AWOLNATION), the life behind ‘Till Midnight’ couldn’t have existed without Thorn’s touch in addition to Chuck’s backing band, The Camaraderie, featuring Jon Gaunt (fiddle), Joe Ginsberg (bass), Todd Beene (pedal steel) and David Hidalgo, Jr. (drums, Social Distortion). The group recently wrapped up their U.S. and European run of the Till Midnight tour and premiered a new video for ‘You And I Alone’ via Esquire.
