EAST MEETS WEST: DR. MARTENS ANNOUNCE LATEST 1460 REMASTERED BOOT AS 3-WAY COLLABORATION WITH BEAMS AND BABYLON.

Dr. Martens have joined forces with Beams and Babylon for the third 1460 Remastered collaboration. Marking 60 years of rebellion and pushing boundaries, they’re celebrating them shared ethos for music and alternative subcultures. For the third collaboration, not one but two world-renowned creatives have remastered DM most iconic silhouette. Babylon. Where brand meets band. And Beams. The pioneers of modern minimalism. Previously, DM collaborations with Japanese lifestyle brand Beams have been clean and minimalistic. But by throwing the hardcore-skate stylings of LA label Babylon into the mix, we’re cranking our shared punk heritage up to the max.

Taking a West Coast alternative skate aesthetic and clashing it with a futuristic Japanese lens, this special one-off edition of the 1460 boot was inspired by the rude boys of the 60s. The double stripe down the heel nods to the subculture’s iconic uniform braces. But here it’s updated in Beams’ unmistakable orange – a colour synonymous with the brand’s clean, minimalist, modern collections. The same orange appears in the triple colour laces, as well as our signature scripted heel loop and welt laceless if they want to, and designed to hold the boots in place at a RWPM gig or show. They’re marked by a triple-branded circle lace charm and embossed with “Chaos” on the quarters – a Babylon slogan and nod to the clash of attitudes and eras that make up the boot. The same logo is partially hidden three brands’ shared DNA, and arrive in bespoke packaging that commemorates Dr. Martens 60th anniversary.
