Enter Shikari- new remixes

ENTER SHIKARI
NEW Sssnakepit REMIXES FROM DRUM & MASS MAESTROS HAMILTON, SERIAL KILLAZ AND ROUT

Lifted from the highly-anticipated third album ‘A Flash Flood Of Colour’ (released this coming January 15th on Ambush Reality Records), ‘Sssnakepit’ gave the world its first taster of Enter Shikari’s new material when it was released as a single back in September and championed across the nation’s airwaves. The original version has now been reworked with a host of groundbreaking remixes.
First up, dragging you out of the ‘Sssnakepit’ and into an equally filthy D&B club is one of Ram Records‘ finest, Hamilton. Turning the original version on its head, Hamilton smashes Enter Shikari‘s spine-tingling vocals over a rib-rattling bassline and trademark heavyweight drums. This will no doubt see dance floors across the globe reduced to a quivering, writhing mess of arms, legs and unavoidable grins. Next up is a mix from Rout, the DJ/producer alter-ego of Enter Shikari front man and programmer, Rou Reynolds. Intense drum edits and chunks of floor-shaking bass are interspersed with snippets of vocal and enough production wizardry to please any fan of intricately blended drum & bass.

And finally, rounding off the package come the drum & bass scene’s best loved jungle revivalists, Serial Killaz. The D&B duo offer up clattering amen-led beats and pounding bass notes that sound like a modern-day Remarc. Giving Hamilton and Rout a big run for their money, we’re sure that D&B DJs aren’t going to know which of these incredible remixes to play first! When pressed for a comment on ‘Sssnakepit’ frontman Rou Reynolds said: “The ‘Sssnakepit’ is that horrible slithery slimy hole we all find ourselves in from time to time, where everyone in the world seems like a no good snake. This song is about clambering out and realising that people are only products of their environment and deserve compassion. In the end, it’s also a celebration of taking strength from friendship, and rising above it all.” Enter Shikari are currently touring Canada and the USA until Christmas, before returning to the UK for the following dates in March 2012. ‘Sssnakepit’ original video
