Ex Lemon Jelly Frank Eddie (Fred Deakin) releases video for ‘(Let Me Be) The One You Call On

Frank Eddie, the new brainchild of Fred Deakin (ex-Lemon Jelly), drops the 2nd in his series of vinyl only releases, with ‘(Let Me Be) The One You Call On’, via his own Impotent Fury imprint on 23rd January 2012. The single is accompanied by a video, created by Fred’s own Airside production company (which became the highest trending topic on Twitter in London following the recent news of its impending March 2012 closure).

It was broadcast exclusively by Channel 4 on 13th December 2011 as part of their Random Acts animation strand. Indicative of Fred’s sound moving forward, the song showcases an effortless progression through kraut rock, disco and R&B, while never abandoning the innate sense of fun that has won him legions of fans in the past. During his 10 years with Lemon Jelly (who are currently on hiatus), Fred enjoyed vast critical acclaim as well as Mercury Music Prize and BRIT Award nominations.
