Libretto once again shows his range as an emcee with four unique songs over beats provided by some of today’s best talent. The Stay Focused project represents only some of the amazing material that Libretto recorded prior to his incarceration 3 years ago. It also represents his mind state as he continues to stay physically, emotionally, and spiritually fit while preparing for his release within a year. Libretto’s music shows his unyielding spirit in spite of the foreknowledge that he wouldn’t be free to enjoy the immediate fruits of his labor. All the more reason Libretto aimed to make these tracks timeless and something that will stay in rotation long past the quick expiration date afforded much of modern Hip-Hop.
