For over a decade Rebel8 has only loosely spoken about releasing a vest for Rebel8. In fact, was back in 2010 or so that they designed and sampled a vest but never actually put it into production.

“Always felt vests were too specific and didn’t see many ways could improve on one. But when I started to wear a vest personally, I was newly inspired to design one again for Rebel8. To begin, I took a standard workwear vest body and built from there. Adding exterior pockets was the first thing I wanted to do. I made sure to keep two large exterior pockets at bottom, but added two extra-wide pen pockets at chest. In my experience, pens, etc. are never one size and having a traditional pen pocket doesn’t help if you have a few of them or an odd shaped item like a knife. On the interior I added another pocket as well, because jackets or vests without them are kinda weird. When it came to fabric, I wanted to keep in line with the workwear roots and heavyweight quality of a true duck canvas. On the inside I went with oversized diamond quilting with insulation for warmth and comfort. And solely for aesthetics, I put our logo on chest and went full embroidery on back. Hope you dig.
