Queens’ own, Sick Of It All were formed around 1985 when hardcore punk waned in popularity, Sick of It All has nonetheless been known to be a major part of the New York hardcore scene. Soon then they began performing regularly in the local music scene, where they rapidly improved their sound and demonstrated their ability to write memorable hardcore tunes. Since 1986, Sick Of It All have been thrashing out classic Hardcore anthems and touring the globe relentlessly. The latest album for Sick Of It All is another sonic statement that further cements them as an institution of hardcore. ‘Based On A True Story’ is undeniable proof that the quartet is simply unstoppable and unrivalled within the scene in terms of quality and sheer impact. It’s astonishing to see the band still boiling with rage at a world gone wrong and successfully transforming this natural and honest aggressiveness into brutal anthems.
