This spring, Vans partners with Copenhagen–based outerwear brand, Rains for a collaborative project influenced by the industrial landscape of Copenhagen.

A collaborative Vans’ project featuring premium lightweight comfort. Utilizing Vans’ Classics Lites technology, the collection merges Vans’ timeless aesthetic with Rains’ meticulous attention to detail to present an elevated footwear capsule that emphasizes premium lightweight comfort.

For this collection, Vans integrated their UltraCush™ Lite technology into original silhouettes for high rebound and long-lasting support, making classics even more comfortable and lightweight. Vans features iterations of the Old Skool, Sk8-Hi and Classic Slip-On in fresh leathers and earth tones including black, white and green. The Sk8-Hi Reissue Lite, Old Skool Lite and Slip-On Lite present a diverse assortment of lightweight and comfort-driven Vans Classics, without sacrificing its timeless style. Showcasing each brand’s heritage and influence, this collaboration features a color palette, materialization and metal reflectors inspired by Refshaleøen, a former industrial island off the harbor of Copenhagen and a key source of influence for the capsule. The footwear uppers utilize Rains’ coveted jacket material, reflective details, custom aglets and a unique footbed featuring an aerial view of Refshaleøen.

The Vans x Rains collection will be available from Vans.eu only in Europe from March 16th 2018.
