Aussie melodic punk trio All Hope Remains releases ‘Standing By’
Salad Days

Upcoming LP ‘Find My Way’ (out on September 20 via Pee Records/Disconnect Disconnect/Double Helix) is 10 tracks of fast melodic punk rock, drenched in pop hooks and rhythmic breakdowns.

Drawing from the nineties punk template, the Aussie melodic punks deliver their rapid fire numbers with plenty of gusto and enthusiasm, littered with personal and social messaging. A high-energy trio from the Surfcoast region of Victoria, Australia, have been thrilling audiences across Australia for the past five years, with their unique blend of fast, melodic skate punk. Rooted in rock, punk, and hardcore, the band’s captivating performances grab the audience’s attention from the first note, ensuring fans are dancing, stomping, singing, and headbanging throughout their shows. From the opening track (‘Intro’) that welcomes listeners to the “age of misinformation”, their lyrics often highlight some of the major points that are wrong about our modern world, whilst a majority of the lyrical content is mostly “personal” in nature. Recent single, ‘Mirror Mirror’ and the just-released second single ‘Standing By’ provide a good cross-section of what can be expected on this release, the best work yet from All Hope Remains. Speaking on the track, vocalist/bassist Mark Gilmore says “‘Standing By’ is a song that nearly never happened and yet it inspired its own existence. A piece of music buried away, and overlooked for years. Eventually a phrase landed which inspired review, rearrangement and eventual completion with the chorus proclaiming itself as (the) “best kept secret, hidden away from the world.” Ironically enough, the track finds itself as a feature single on the forthcoming album and we couldn’t be happier with it.”

Upcoming show:

August 17 Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia @ Bad Decisions Bar – 7:30PM (Single Release Show)

ALL HOPE REMAINS:

Vocals/Bass player – Mark Gilmore

Guitar/vocals – Geoff Stirling

Drums/Vocals – Tony Maloney

Formed from the remnants of previous bands, band emerged to fill a niche in the music scene. The members, all like-minded musicians with shared musical interests and a passion for creating, quickly found their stride. Their ability to entertain is evident in the audience’s reactions, with fans describing their music as “fast melodic with catchy lyrics that make people want to sing along,” “high energy with a feel-good vibe,” and “lots of good-natured fun.” Over the past five years, All Hope Remains has performed at numerous clubs, pubs, and festivals across Australia and Japan. With two EPs, ‘Hindsight’ and ‘Feel The Fire’ and one full-length album, ‘A Silent War’ the band has firmly established itself in the Australian punk scene. Recently signed to Pee Records, they are set to release a new album this fall. UK distribution will be handled by Disconnect Disconnect Records, while North American distro will be overseen by Double Helix Records.
