Bursting out of Baltimore, MD, Erode is making hardcore that’s dark and chaotic. The band share their debut album ‘Devout’ out through DAZE.

The album was recorded with Matt Redenbo at Magpie Cage, mixed by Andy Nelson at Bricktop, and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. Drawing influence from bands like 100 Demons, Morbid Angel, Kickback, the album is fueled by sinister vocals, frenetic riffs, and evil sounding breakdowns. Lyrical themes are overtly negative, navigating through disillusionment, addiction, pride, and depravity across the eight tracks. Guest features from Sean of Sinister Feeling on ‘S/t’ and Ethan of Putricine on ‘As Rain Pourds’, add a punky feel to Erode’s more blackened style.
