Max Alran drops in last, on home dirt, in the worst conditions of the weekend, and wins his first Elite World Cup. The track had turned over by the time the final rider left the hut. Then Alran came through the finish line 1.65 seconds up, and the crowd broke ranks entirely, surging forward to swarm him before he’d even come to a stop. A first Elite win is only ever won once; and you did it at home, last down, in the worst of it. Well done Max!
