Announce ‘Hope Is A Dead Language’ EP out September 11th on Unbeaten Records.

Massachusetts’ In Contempt are crafting an unnerving blend of hardcore and grindcore that exudes with discontent. The band announce their signing to Unbeaten Records and a new EP set for release on September 11th. The seven track EP hits extremely heavy, shattering through fervent rhythms, blast beats and a clever use of vocal samples from films. Guest features come from fellow Massachusetts bands Pathogenic, Greyloch and My Hands Were Tied. Single out now, bursts with intensity from the start as vicious vocals combine with frantic walls of sound. The accompanying video matches the harsh energy of the track, as a performance from the band coincides with compulsive imagery. The band shares on the track:

“Song is written about the harsh reality of losing a friend to an overdose when you didn’t know they had a problem. The spilt feeling of being heartbroken at the loss, and upset at that person at hiding it from you.”

EP was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Alex Allinson at The Bridge Sound and Stage in Cambridge MA. It’s available for preorder now through Unbeaten Records.
