New album ‘Setting The Price’ out October 3rd.

On October 3rd Long Island hardcore band mark their return with their new album. Recorded with Chris Fasulo of East Coast Recordings and mastered by Dave Roman at 4130 Mastering, the album features nine tracks that zig zag between metal and punk, underpinned by sharp breakdowns and hard-hitting vocals. Lyrically it’s a mix of confrontation and reflection, driven from setbacks and real-world issues — it’s raw, honest, and driven by purpose. The group releases a hard-hitting single ‘End Complete’. The track opens the album with a bludgeoning double bass drum sequence that transitions to crushing vocals and heavy, riff-centric tempo changes that build into an intense breakdown. Originally formed in 1995 on Long Island, New York, they gained recognition with their split with Voice Of Reason on Stillborn Records, followed by the 1999 full-length album ‘React’ released through Triple Crown Records. The hardcore band would come to an end in 2001 with a few live performances over the years. Following a reunion show in December 2022 with Strife and Shutdown, Overthrow felt like they still had something to say and would soon begin writing what would become their upcoming full-length, ‘Setting The Price’. The album finds quartet finishing what they started, capturing progression in sound. Band will perform in New York City on September 18th at The Gramercy Theatre with Madball and Bayway.
