Quebecois skate punker, Remy Verreault, has announced a brand new 11 song record entitled ‘Break The Silence’. Verreault last released ‘Songs I Kept’ back in August of this year via High End Denim Records.

The lead single ‘The Light I Seek’ features Verreault‘s old friend Etienne Dionne from legendary Quebec skate punk band Mute and dropped on November 1. As for the album, he had this time say about the process: “This year I made a resolution to stop saying yes to everything and to give my opinion when something tickles me .As a result, no longer the big teddy bear who says yes to everything, I’ve become a different person in some people’s eyes. Some friendships were shaken but others solidified. Then I had to stop drinking because I was drinking excessively, even though it wasn’t yet affecting my everyday life, and for health reasons I had to stop. So I took the opportunity to stop smoking cannabis and try to become version 2.0 of what I used to be. It was a long process over several months, but I succeeded thanks to the music that helped me keep my focus and take my mind off things. The death of my grandmother, perpetrated by a request for help to die, opened my eyes to the way I deal with my emotions and the way I see death. I used artificial intelligence to create voices with original lyrics for 2 of my songs on this opus. In my opinion, this is my best album to date, and the one with the best sound, because I made it completely sober without having my thoughts clouded by substances.” The full album drops on November 12 via High End Denim Records.
