Upcoming split with No Matter What, which will be released on December 5th, 2025. Two bands from Bordeaux and share one member.

Formed in Bordeaux, France, in 2022, No Matter What has established itself as one of the most promising bands on the French hardcore/metal scene. Founded around a shared passion for raw energy and positive messages, the quintet draws on the roots of New York hardcore and modern metal. Inspired by American pillars such as Hatebreed, Lionheart, First Blood, No Matter What delivers powerful and sharp music, divided between fast punk and thrash metal riffs and crushing breakdowns. Born in the 90s, the members were heavily influenced by pop culture in all forms of art while growing up. These influences are evident in the band’s visual identity, inspired by the world of sportswear and hip hop, a far cry from the classic metal aesthetic. No Matter What is not for elitists. No Matter What is for everyone.

This is the message the band wants to deliver to the world. Gruop released their eponymous debut album featuring Drew York from Stray From The Path in October 2022. In December 2025, the band’s sound evolved with the release of a 4-track split in collaboration with Last Defeat.

Last Defeat is currently in the studio working on an album scheduled for spring 2026.
