Two new Chuck D projects
Public Enemy Continues to Fight The Power. Hip-hop has always been about more than charts, it’s been about documentation, intention, and passing knowledge forward.
This week, Chuck D is at the center of two major culture moments that reflect that legacy in real time. First, Chuck D teams up with legendary Doors drummer John Densmore as doPE, a cross-generational project blending spoken word, rhythm, and social commentary. Their debut single ‘every tick tick tick’ has been named Record Store Day’s 2026 Song of the Year, with the full album no country for old men arriving April 18 as a limited-edition vinyl release.

At the same time, Chuck D is bringing hip-hop back to print with the launch of Rap Central Station MagPaper — a vinyl-sized, artist-led magazine designed to document the culture with permanence and respect. Issue 1 is already hitting newsstands and bookstores in the U.S., continuing Chuck’s long-standing mission to center artist voices and real curation. From sound to print, Chuck D continues to prove that culture doesn’t age — it evolves.
