Hardcore band Hold My Own team up with Sunami on new single ‘No Respect Due’
Chicago hardcore band Hold My Own come out swinging on new single ‘No Respect Due’ out today through DAZE.
In just over two minutes the band lay out oscillating rhythms laced with down-tuned riffs and an intense breakdown for the strongest of moshers. Vocalist Gregory Falchetto’s tough delivery is met by Sunami’s Josef Alfonso’s throaty approach as the two crush through lyrics of contempt. The track was recorded, mixed & engineered by Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recording in Chicago, Illinois and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege with additional engineering by Jayway & Nico LaCorcia. On the song and announcement of their new band member, Hold My Own shares:
“Non stop mosh. Spin-kicks to da face. First song out with Mike Bulldoze in the band. 100% pure hard core with Josef Sunami on the mic at the end. Hc singalongs and head walks…”
The band have a number of upcoming shows alongside bands including Judge and Incendiary, and festival appearances at RBS, Overcome, and Tied Down. Tonight the band will play a hometown show in Chicago at Subterranean with Sector that also serves as a benefit.
“We are putting this song out on 312 day. The area code of Chicago. We’ve put on for the city of Chicago since the start of this band and long before. Today Hold My Own plays a sold out hometown show with all of our friends and bands we love from Chicago. Today we celebrate by having this new song out.”
