Rebuke gets existential with new single ‘Baby Bathwater’

With their latest single, ‘Baby Bathwater’, Swedish punk powerhouse Rebuke dive headfirst into a philosophical punk rock exploration of impermanence, pain, and rebirth.

Swedish punk band grapples with loss, growth, and letting go in their latest track. Known for their razor-sharp lyrics and fast, technical compositions, the band uses this track to tackle heavy existential questions with their signature mix of intensity and wit. “Sometimes, letting things bleed out and drift away is the only way forward” says vocalist and guitarist Petter Mossberg of the single’s thematic core. “But hey, don’t take our word for it—this isn’t a therapy session, after all.” ‘Baby Bathwater’ juxtaposes its jaunty, upbeat musicality with deeply introspective lyrics, creating a powerful contrast that invites listeners to think, feel, and reflect. The song is a meditation on the necessity of emotional release and the indifference of the world around us—a cathartic punk rock philosophy session set to blazing riffs and dynamic rhythms. Fans can now look forward to single as part of Rebuke’s upcoming full-length album, ‘Things One Shouldn’t Have to Say’, due out February 7th. Formed in 2003, band has long been celebrated for their ability to craft songs that are as intellectually provocative as they are musically electrifying. Their sound fuses SoCal punk influences with technical metal elements, and their lyrics address topics ranging from personal introspection to sharp critiques of societal issues. Over the years, they’ve shared the stage with punk legends such as Bad Religion, This Is A Standoff, all while continuing to push boundaries with their music.

‘Baby Bathwater’ offers a glimpse into the breadth and depth of ‘Things One Shouldn’t Have To Say’, which features 18 tracks of blistering energy, innovative songwriting, and uncompromising lyrical depth.
