Tee Pee Records revisits legendary nardcore LP by cult rockers Annihilation Time
A must for fans of scorching atonal leads, frantic vocals, start/stop time signatures and Black Flag… ‘Annihilation Time – III: Tales Of The Ancient Age’ will be rereleased on Tee Pee Records on 9th May 2025.
FFO: Thin Lizzy, Lecehrous Gaze, Black Flag, BL’AST!. Tee Pee Records is stoked to announce the official rerelease of ‘Annihilation Time – III: Tales Of The Ancient Age’ as a limited edition vinyl pressing on marbled “Tiger’s Eye” vinyl, by the celebrated Californian cult rockers. Initially formed in late 2001 by guitarist Graham Clise, vocalist Fred Hammer, drummer Jamie Sanitate and bassist Chris Grande, Annihilation Time’s legendary lust for hard rock was forged in steel from the get-go. Following a period of fruitful noise with the release of their self-titled debut on Dead Alive Records (2002) and 2004’s ‘II’ on Manic Ride, by the end of 2006 Grande and Clise had weathered several line-up changes and a relocation to Oakland for the band’s much-loved third album and first for Tee Pee Records. Offering up an incendiary mix of ’70s rock and ’80s hardcore it wasn’t until the release of 2008’s ‘Annihilation Time – III: Tales Of The Ancient Age‘ that the band truly bridged the gap between their wildly comparative influences. From BL’AST! to Thin Lizzy, over ten riotous tracks laced with neck-breaking rhythms, obscene twin guitar leads and angst-driven vocals, the album was equal parts bar brawl/magnum opus. A shimmering pint glass and “riff well-shred” in the bloodied face of everyone within earshot. Followers of the band may have also noticed that the constituent parts of Annihilation Time have never wavered in their respective side quests to capture the true spirt of rock and roll. A big reason for the album’s welcomed rerelease next month is down to AT guitarist Graham Clise. Clise’s current band Stepmother has just completed their inaugural US tour, including an emotional benefit show for friend and fallen counterpart, Dave Sweetapple, and are studio bound for their follow-up to 2023’s stone-cold classic, ‘Planet Brutalicon’.
