Volcom Stone’s VQS Seaslug Surf Series – El Porto, Manhattan Beach, CA

The Seaslug Surf Series came alive this last weekend in the South Bay. El Porto, Manhattan Beach that is, and before sunrise there was a line of 30+ cars waiting in the dark for the parking lot gates to open. The light of day revealed that recent run off had formed the El Porto sand bars and along with 2-4ft surf made for psyching Groms that couldn’t wait to jump in the water. The rowdy bunch of kids wrestled their way through the day, attacked standout Chris Ward with Muscle Milk, and still found time to surf their heats. Check out all of the days events below!

Sam Regan surfed well throughout the day, but came up short in the Juniors final and settled for 5th.

Eithan Osborne crushed it in the Grom’s division and earned himself a 1000 points towards qualifying for the VQS World Champs.

Squid competitor Noah Hill nearly won the Electric Volt Thrower move of the event with an early round air, but at the end of the day it was Dane Zaun taking the $100 cash and pair of shades.

Micky Clarke smashed one and ended up with 3rd place in the Grom’s final.
