A fresh take on best-selling snowboard boot, designed for everyone and inclusive collection…

As the leader in creative exploration, Vans Snow is excited to introduce a fresh take on the Hi-Standard OG with help from team rider, Kennedi Deck. This season, best-selling snowboard boot receives an aesthetic update through the lens of Kennedi, as well as a new head-to-toe collection designed for everyone— regardless of who you are or how you ride. As the hero of the collection, the Hi-Standard OG snowboard boot by Kennedi Deck is offered in a minimal, black and white colorway, supported by key apparel and accessories designed for an inclusive audience who values style as well as performance. Featuring V1 technology, the Hi-Standard OG boot is as capable as it is style-forward, designed to provide the boardfeel and control needed to never miss a moment riding. The V1 UltraCush liner provides a dual-density, heat-moldable core, while a V1 PopCush footbed offers up an anti-fatigue coring design and Nylex moisture-wicking top sheet. V1 Waffle Lug outsole delivers high levels of boardfeel and traction and pays tribute to the timeless vulcanized look that put it on the map. The elasticity of PleasureCuff™ keeps calves comfortable and supported, and Heat Retention 360º technology wraps the toe box and the area between the boot’s outsole and liner to keep heat in and cold out for all-day comfort on and off the hill. Kennedi’s hand-drawn art and signature grace elements of the boot, including the tongue.

Carrying over the black and white colorway is the Kennedi Deck Standard Mid Snow MTE boot, the Sk8-Hi in Kennedi Deck black/white, as well as a complete apparel collection influenced by Kennedi‘s style. The Bomber Jacket features an interior quilt pattern lining, internal storm flap, and zipper closed welt pockets. The Deck Baggy Pant includes back patch pockets with Velcro closure flaps as well as tall front pockets with zipper closure, to keep everything secure. A tote rounds out the collection’s green, grey and black color palette, building upon the collection’s everyday functionality and clean design.

Kennedi Deck is one of the rising stars in snowboarding’s street world. Finding likeminded connections at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park, Kennedi landed a street part in 2017’s ‘Twisted’, a film by SRD that elevated the young rider’s visibility in the snowboarding community. Kennedi’s calculated approach to a wide range of street features – locking in every 5050 or squaring up every boardside – brought deserving attention to a strong work ethic and desire for perfection. Not long thereafter, Kennedi was accepted to film for ‘The Uninvited’ with a crew hailed as the future of snowboarding. With an opening part that spans two songs and a volume of applause-worthy clips, Kennedi’s role in the film solidified Rookie of the Year honors at TransWorld Snowboarding’s 2018 Riders’ Poll Awards. Kennedi’s lighthearted personality and willingness to put in long hours is a perfect complement on trips with the crew, always with a 35mm film camera in hand. Alongside established pros and mentors like Jake Kuzyk and Cole Navin, this young Canadian will undoubtedly be shaping the way we view street snowboarding for years to come.
