IKES has released the music video for his new single ‘The Game’s Back’ featuring singer and Disturbing London/EMIsongwriter, J. Warner. The video premiered online exclusively on MTV.co.uk’s The Wrap Up. Filmed on the gritty streets of East London, the video was directed by Sheridan De Myers of New Treatment.
Seani B premiered ‘The Game’s Back’ on his BBC 1Xtra Hip Hop M1x show. The track, produced by Maleek Berry, is the latest song to receive the visual treatment, following on from ‘GirlTalk’, which saw the East Londoner team up with fellow UK rapper, Scorcher, and singer Jermaine Riley. Both tracks are taken from IKES’ nine-track EP, ‘The Intermission: Last Call’. ‘The Intermission: Last Call’, which was released in January 2012, has gained the rapper a lot of attention. The EP’s lead single ‘GirlTalk’, was featured on the BBC Introducing podcast, and in Music Week for ‘Music Week Presents’. The EP’s releases have also had great support online and from TV channels such as Kiss TV, MTV, BET and more! If you haven’t already heard of him, in the next few months you certainly will. IKES is the UK’s latest offering of a talented lyricist who has been entertaining hip hop fans on both sides of the Atlantic, with his distinguished style of raw realism mixed with cheeky lyrics and clever word play. IKES’ ‘The Game’s Back’ ft J. Warner will be released July 9th.
