Announce ‘Loosey’ EP out October 14th on Happy Families.

Hailing from Seattle, WA, Sun Spots make alternative punk with a pop tinge that’s meant to get stuck in your head. The band announced their debut EP, ‘Loosey’, set for release October 14th on Happy Families. The four songs on the EP are heavy, uptempo, and earnest rock tracks driven by crunchy guitars and DIY ethics. On new single ‘Big Stroke’, the band channels guitar-forward greats like Superchunk and Guided By Voices coated by vocalist Kailey’s sugary meets laid-back approach. Speaking on the track, the band states: “‘Big Stroke’ is a song about rejecting the dog eat dog mentality of capitalism and not trading your identity for rent money.” The song follows the more grunge-adjacent ‘Loosey’ which the band released a music video for earlier this year. Sun Spots are currently wrapping up a West Coast tour with hardcore-punk band GAG, which you can see dates for below.

Sun Spots is Kailey – Bass/Vocals, Andrew – Guitar, Malcolm – Guitar, Jose – Drums.
