Bridge Nine Records sign post-hardcore band HeavyHex
Salad Days

Continuing to build an exciting roster, legendary hardcore label Bridge Nine Records announces the signing of Long Island band HeavyHex.

Since forming in 2021, the band quickly gained a reputation for their ability to translate raw emotion into their music, blending melodic and post-hardcore. Drawing inspiration from influential bands like Mindset, Have Heart, Title Fight, HeavyHex has crafted a distinctive sound that combines aggressive yet melodic guitars with impactful lyrics. The band has been building a following in New York and beyond since the self-release of their debut EP, ‘Stare’, in April 2022. The band’s captivating, sing-a-long ready live show has allowed them to share the stage with acts like Silent Majority, Militarie Gun, Soul Glo, I Am The Avalanche. They just wrapped up recording their debut album, ‘True To You’, in the studio with Jay Maas (Defeater), with a release date to be announced. The album will dive deep into personal struggles, societal issues, and the demand for equality. Collaborating with Maas, the band channeled their collective energy and creativity to shape guitar tones that strike a balance of aggression, clarity, and emotion, accompanied by fast and hard-hitting percussion. On signing HeavyHex, Bridge Nine owner Chris Wrenn states:

“The entire Bridge Nine team is thrilled to be working with HeavyHex. Listening to their EP, I got the same feeling I did when I first heard Have Heart and Defeater, and knew they were meant to join the Bridge Nine family. I can’t wait to release their new album and see everyone at their upcoming shows singing along to their compelling songs.”

HeavyHex is Daniel Lukach (Guitar & Vocals), David Gastiaburo (Vocals), Kevin Finamore (Bass & Vocals), Jeremy Gardiner (Guitar), Michael DiLello (Drums).
