L’ultimo mio ricordo di un live di Sean Paul era legato ad una puntata di TRL (quando ancora Mtv si degnava di trasmettere musica)…

…dove il cantante giamaicano non riusciva a finire le strofe delle sue canzoni, ma si meritava un 10 pieno per le interazioni umane con le sue ballerine. Il tutto è rimasto in sordina nella mia mente fino al suo ultimo live in Italia al Fabrique di Milano, dove ho potuto constatare con piacere che poco o niente è cambiato. Nonostante l’innegabile mancanza di arrivo alla fine delle strofe, grande festa sul palco, un sacco di motivazione da e verso il pubblico, mosse pelviche, ma soprattutto non è cambiata la voglia di far festa legata a questo genere musicale: Sean Paul fa più da direttore delle danze che da artista vero e proprio, creando più un evento / serata che un concerto. D’altronde c’era sicuramente un motivo se il gig era da tempo sold out.
