DC Re-Enters Surf Market
June 2016 (Huntington Beach, Calif.) – Today, DC Shoes proudly reintroduces its surf team to the world.
The future of DC surf charges forward with a diverse group of riders from all over the world including Bruce Irons and Ezekiel Lau from Hawaii to Kanoa Igarashi from Huntington Beach, Calif. and Leo Fioravanti from Rome, Italy. Check out the team edit here: dcshoes.com/surfnews. “Since the surf program’s inception, it has always been a part of DC’s DNA and we never lost sight of the program,” said Global Brand Lead, Jeff Taylor. “We initially launched the team in 1998 with the Irons brothers and Shane Dorian. Moving forward, DC will continue to support riders who believe in the brand and strive to defy convention for years to come.” Bruce Irons says, “Aligning with DC makes sense – it’s where I started with Andy. I’m stoked on this family DC has curated and ripping alongside these progressive surfers.” In 2013, DC’s surf program entered its three-year hiatus. Since then, DC has curated and welcomed a full roster of riders along with a complete surf program. As DC reintroduces the program, the company will focus its efforts with legendary future riders: Ezekiel Lau, Kanoa Igarashi and Leo Fioravanti.
