Preview of new album ‘Ritual Routine’ out October 3rd.

With the global West descending into fascism and an American government hell bent on strengthening the police state and spreading egregious disinformation, the timing is as urgent as ever for Planet On A Chain to deliver another album. LP will release on October 3rd through the Revelation Records, recorded and mixed by Jack Shirley at The Atomic Garden and mastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios. Having launched a first preview with the three song ‘Mangled And Twisted’ EP in August, the band now share three more tracks on ‘Poor Excuse’. ‘Identity’, ‘Echo Chamber’, and the titletrack exude and ongoing assault of fast hardcore to the senses — lightning fast riffing and frantic drums that never cheat, with fills that border on the impossible. Focus track ‘Poor Excuse’ was written about platforming and making a celebrity of those who carry out or attempt to carry out acts of violence against others that escaped consequences under the guise of “self defense.” Vocalist Dave Ackerman expands:

“Song was written about the platforming and celebrity of people like Kyle Rittenhouse, Daniel Perry and the McCloskey‘s, The fanfare for people who have murdered (or were prepared to) with a nod and wink as if they were acting in self defense. I don’t want these people to be looked up upon. I am not a fan of the prison system but I also don’t think cold blooded murder should be rewarded with lucrative speaking arrangements and book deals.”

Planet On A Chain is Dave (vocals), Brian (guitar), Alex (guitar), Tobia (bass), and Moses (drums).
