Under Coping official video

Under Coping is a project that starts from the need of a no profit sport association that deals with a public space.

This video documenting the collaboration between skateboarders and graffiti writers, that for one week lived under the coping of the bowl in Vicenza, Italy, painting the whole space, covering the meaningless signs random people did with no permission from the locals and the city. At the same time with this video we want to give credits to initiatives that give space to underground scenes. Salmo live @ Fabrique, Milano – recap

Doppio sold out al Fabrique di Milano per una degna chiusura del suo Hellvisback Tour.

Salmo è su un altro livello, si alza dall’essere rapper e arriva all’essere artista. Questo termine gli si addice per la sua capacità di circondarsi di creativi, videomakers, musicisti, personaggi che compongono una crew che diventa anche etichetta, che ha il coraggio di non cavalcare l’onda per arrivare facilmente all’obiettivo, ma vuole portare al pubblico (come nel caso dei cari Slander) nuove proposte musicali a gente che si aspetterebbe il classico, ormai mainstream, rap. Per puro caso ho ascoltato un’intervista a Salmo in radio, dove discuteva del fatto che andava in giro con la band (nella quale militano membri di Linea77 e Vanilla Sky) per far vedere ai suoi giovani seguaci che esiste la musica suonata oltre alle produzioni al computer, e che possa servire da spunto per imbracciare uno strumento, formare una crew, girare e farsi conoscere in maniera indipendente. Proprio come ha fatto lui arrivando ad una formula vincente, uno show coinvolgente, un vero e proprio spettacolo che mixa suoni, luci e video in background, e vede il rap mischiato con vari altri generi come se fosse una band crossover dei primi duemila. Sembra di fare retorica, di dire cose scontate ma vi basterà andare a vedere uno dei suoi prossimi shows: una spanna sopra a tutti i colleghi della scena.
