Sophomore album out late 2014, recorded with J. Robbins at Magpie Cage Recording Studio – Spring US Tour Dates announced

Triple Crown Records have welcomed Minnesota’s Tiny Moving Parts as the newest addition to their label roster. The trio, which consists of guitarist/vocalist Dylan Mattheisen and his cousins, brothers Billy Chevalier (drums) and Matt Chevalier (bass/vocals) have quickly gained attention for their outstanding indie songs that blend twinkling guitars and complex drum parts. They released their debut album ‘This Couch Is Long And Full Of Friendship’ last year via Kind of Like Records and Black Numbers, and have toured the US non-stop since, including tours with The Front Bottoms and Modern Baseball. Drummer Billy Chevalier says enthusiastically of the signing, “It is so exciting to be on a label that we’ve been following since we were young pups. It’s really a dream come true to be a part of such a great roster of bands!” Their forthcoming as-yet-untitled sophomore album was recently recorded with J. Robbins at his Magpie Cage Studios in Baltimore, MD and will be released in the later half of 2014. More details will be announced soon. Tiny Moving Parts will tour the US again starting in late April with a variety of friends including several dates with Frameworks, Gates and Free Throw (all tour dates below). f you haven’t seen them yet, take the opportunity to when they come through your city. The band is guaranteed to make you grin and their frenzied sets are thrilling to watch. Watch the video for ‘Clouds Above My Head’ off ‘This Couch Is Long And Full Of Friendship’:
