They share hooky new single! perfect power pop FFO Matthew Sweet, Superdrag, Cheap Trick. New LP ‘Real Music’ out now via Same View Records. Upcoming East Coast Tour shows w/ I Am The Avalanche.

New Jersey power pop phenoms are gearing up for the release of their cheekily titled new album from Same View Records (the upstart Baltimore label that introduced the world to Robber Robber, 16 Underground, Cold Mega, and more). Now they’re sharing one more hyper-catchy new single. LP is eight tracks of crunchy, hooky rock & roll that’s so elemental, so confident, and so satisfying that you’ll have no choice but to agree that it does in fact deserve its title. You can already hear the proof loud and clear in early singles ‘There With You’ and ‘My Rage’ and now this offers another big dose of melody and distortion that’s sure to brighten up your week and hold you over until release drops in full. Band have been on a tear since their formation in 2022, racking up three full-lengths and collaborative covers EP in just three years. The new one takes group’s core sound and pushes it further into the red. The recording is sharper, the guitar theatrics are wilder, the hooks are bigger–these are the kinds of songs that hit you in the guts and put a smile on your face. Or as bassist Dogmeat evocatively puts it: “So much sh*t is just bullsh*t. LP blows your d*ck back. I know bands are shy about liking their own music but what’s the point in that? I think our music is f*cking awesome.” Classic Traffic are also kicking off a run of East Coast tour dates this week coinciding with the release of ‘Real Music’, see full itinerary below.
