Rising stars Eli and Fur have announced the latest release on their own label NYX Records. ‘Tonight’ it’s a super cool slice of electronica with a massive pop sensibility and was co-produced by south London outfit Breton’s artistic wing BretonLABS who’ve also delivered a stunning remix. Detroit born artist and producer Jimmy Edgar’s on-the-money remix has already had rave reviews across the blogosphere. This is the second track from the London based duo – both 22 and old skool house and techno obsessives. Friends since the age of 16 they’ve been passionate about music from a young age. Eli has been singing, playing guitar and writing since she was 12 while Fur grew up fixated on art and design and has a keen eye for fashion making them a formidable pairing. Their debut release, a free download of ‘Sea Of Stars’, received a load of love from the blogs and tastemaker sites when it was released in April and drew comparisons with the likes of Annie, Robyn and Rebecca & Fiona. Eli and Fur have also been making a name for themselves on the DJ scene over the last few years playing out at club nights and parties from London to Ibiza by way of Tokyo. They made their UK festival debut last year playing sets at Glade and Glastonbury and were due to DJ at this summer’s Creamfields until rain stopped play. The girls also supported Alex Metric at The Nest , Infinity Ink, Fedde Le Grand at Ministry Of Sound and killed it at the SW4 After Party with Eric Prydz and Scuba. They played the Dimensions Festival in Croatia and headline sets at Ministry Of Sound and Audio Brighton and during November they’ll be supporting Maceo Plex and Maya Jane Coles in February 2013.
