BIGGEST TURNS & COMBOS AT LA NORD IN HOSSEGOR

Sam Piter, Marc Lacomare and Kai Odriozola got the crowds going with a series of strong and spectacular manoeuvres, while Parker Coffin took the best wave of the day, a powerful 8.3 turn that sent his team (Coffin/Osborne) straight to the top of the leaderboard. The sun was out and brighter than ever on Day 2 of the festival this Sunday, with Competition Director Miky Picon announcing “Best Combo” as the theme for the day. Wave selection, risk-taking, variety and execution were at the heart of the judge’s focus. The day was highlighted by impressive tricks by Aritz Aranburu and Jérémy Florès, but ultimately it was Kai Odriozola who delivered the highest score of Day 2, helping his team secure a comfortable first spot at the closing of the day. Local duo Joan Duru and Marc Lacomare move into second place in the provisional standings. After the competition, the focus shifted to free surfing with a one-hour Expression Session bringing together both professional surfers, young groms and several friends of the brand, including newly-signed 13-year-old Tahitian Quiksilver surfer Tauirai Henrio, actor Taz Skylar, Jay Phipps, Shama Beckford, Rocco Rigliaco and many more.
